The discussion began about a year ago – something those of us who teach in higher ed have been aware of for some time. Having a doctorate in a subject, or being a subject matter expert, does not mean that individual can teach. Oh, there are many who can be riveting – who have the charisma or natural storytelling techniques that can engage a classroom.
