Google’s Eric Schmidt On Critics Who Say College Isn’t Worth It: “They’re Just Wrong”

Always so happy to see this.  I do think the “don’t go to college” diatribe has evolved in a positive way, to a “how will we make college more affordable” discussion.  It is helpful to see people in positions of influence speaking out in higher ed’s defense.  From TechCrunch –   “Google Chairman Eric Schmidt took a not-so-subtle swipe at tech critics who say that college is overrated. “There are various people who run around and make claims that higher education is not a good use of your time: they’re just wrong,” he told the audience at the SXSW conference, where he was on stage promoting his book The New Digital Age.”  ” I appreciate it’s expensive and we need to fix that,” he said, but “figure out a way to do it.”  Thank you Eric.  I couldn’t agree more.
