Jimmy Wales: Boring university lectures ‘are doomed’

The custodian of the world’s biggest online encyclopedia says that unless universities respond to the rising tide of online courses, new major players will emerge to displace them, in the way that Microsoft arrived from nowhere alongside the personal computer.”  Thank goodness.  Not sure why watching a lecture on the screen is any different from watching one at the front of the room.  Too many new ways to accomplish better learner outcomes.  Read full article from BBC here.
